20 Gang Members arrested in Phoenix for 2 murders
20 people from enemy street gangs have been arrested by Phoenix police for their alleged involvement in at least 2 murders and conspiring to commit others. Maricopa County prosecutors say a 23-year-old and 21-year-old are accused in a March murder stemming from a drug deal gone bad. Authorities announced Friday that 15 other people indicted in the case still are being sought. According to investigators,the 2 gang members made contact with the 27-year-old victim under the guise of wanting to buy marijuana from him. Authorities allege the two south Phoenix street gang members killed the man and stole the drugs. Authorities say some of the suspects will be facing charges that include conspiracy to commit murder, assisting a criminal street gang, misconduct involving weapons and money laundering.
