Two reputed members of the Bloods Street gang and a pair of twin sisters were arrested on drug charges Friday when a fully armed swat team executed a search warrant at a 62nd Street residence, officials said. Both of the same apartment near 59th Street, are charged with “gang criminality” and numerous drug counts, the judge said when they made their first appearance on the charges yesterday in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City. Both men have been identified as members of the Bloods Sex Money Murder set, based on self-proclamation, written correspondence, possession of the Bloods gang written manifesto, and gang tattoos, the criminal complaints say. Both are charged with possession of electronic scales and other drug packaging material, as well as drug counts including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute near a school and near public property, the complaints say. Moreno is also charged with unlawful possession of a stun gun, the complaints said. Dopico is additionally charged with attempting to destroy evidence during execution of the search warrant and possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, the complaints say. Both sisters 23 and of the same 62nd Street apartment, were also charged with numerous drug counts during the raid, and both were throwing marijuana into a toilet when arrested, the complaints say. Christopher Dopico has two prior aggravated assault convictions and is currently out on bail on a burglary charge, officials said. His bail was set at $150,000 cash or bond. Moreno has drug and theft charges pending presentation to the grand jury, officials said. His bail was to be set by a Superior Court judge. Bails for Diana and Amanda Dopico were set at $25,000 cash or bond. “We are going to target drug dealing and gangs and do whatever we can,” West New York Police Director Michael Indri said. “We are going to do whatever it takes to be sure this does not happen.” Indri credited his office’s Tactical Patrol Force and was thankful for the assistance of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office and Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
